Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems is an evidence-based psycho-therapeutic approach that was discovered and developed by Richard Schwartz. It is founded on the concept that the self is comprised of parts that work to protect a core sense of Self. Different parts contain valuable qualities but may be operating in ways that are detrimental to our relationships with ourselves and others; Our core Self possesses the intelligence needed to heal and work more constructively with these parts so that we can access the valuable qualities our parts have to offer and operate on a more fulfilling level.
